Sue Finkam Exhibits Unmatched Experience, a Clear Vision and Plan to Elevate Carmel in Mayoral Debate

October 2, 2023

Carmel, IN - Following tonight’s Carmel Mayoral Debate presented by the Current in Carmel and the Center for Performing Arts, Kory Wood, a senior advisor to Sue Finkam’s campaign, issued the following statement:

“Tonight’s debate showed a clear contrast between the candidates running for mayor. While Democrat Miles Nelson used his time to focus on the politics of division and on issues that do not fall under the purview of the mayor, Sue Finkam used her experience to lay out a clear vision and plan to unite our community and to keep it special and on a path to success.

“Sue Finkam is the only candidate running for mayor that has the experience, vision and plan to lead Carmel on Day One. Not only was she victorious in tonight’s debate, she’s in a strong position to win in November.”

Over 1,000 Carmel residents were in attendance for the debate that took place at the Palladium in downtown Carmel. Earlier today, the Finkam campaign released its first TV and digital ad for the general election titled “Something Special.” Last week, the campaign released a nine-page, 57-point Elevate Carmel Vision Plan that highlights Finkam’s priorities and asks residents to share theirs.
